SERVICES

SERVICES

We believe in harm reduction and we assist our patients in reclaiming their lives from dependence on opiates. Most of our physicians are available in-person and virtually. Unlike other clinics, you will get to meet our physicians in person during your treatment course. Our goal is to forge a comprehensive approach to the treatment of opiate dependence. While we do prescribe opiate agonist treatment such as methadone and suboxone we also believe in treating the underlying cause and precipitating factors, stabilizing patients, and allowing patients to begin dealing with and resolving any undue effects that they may have incurred as a result of their substance dependence.

Addiction Treatment

We understand that substance dependence is a mental illness like all others and we provide treatment that is non-judgemental, discrete and private.  We are located in a general medical building with family physicians, dentists and other health proffessionals.

Methadone Maintenance

Methadone is an opiate agonist that helps patients to stop abusing opiates. Patient who are stable on methdone are not “high” but feel normal again and are able to resume normal activities, work, drive and take care of their families.

Suboxone* Treatment

Suboxone is a partial opiate agonist/antagonist.  Suboxone is made up of burenorphine and naloxone.  Naloxone is an opiate antagonist, which means it blocks the opiate receptors.   As a part of suboxone, naloxone is placed to prevent injection of suboxone, it is poorly absorbed orally and does not constitute part of the treatment.  The active portion of Suboxone is burenorphine.  It works on the same receptors as opiates and methadone and helps to both activate and block the receptor.  Suboxone is agreat choice for younger patients with opiate dependence or for people who are dependent on opiate pills.

Sublocade* Injections

Sublocade* is an injectable form of buprenorphine. Once a patient has been stabilized on buprenorphine agonist therapy they may qualify for a once monthly injection of buprenorphine. The injectable form has been shown to provide more stable levels of buprenorphine than daily dosing with tablets. Our physicians are available on site to administer injections.

PHARMACY

There is a pharmacy in the same building as our clinic that dispenses Methadone and Suboxone.  The pharmacy is accepting new patients and is open 7 days a week.
